My name is Rick Jones and I want to be Your Sheriff.

I have 32 years of law enforcement experience.
(22 years with the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office and 10 years with the General Sessions Courts)

I am proud to call Wilson County my home. I was raised on a small farm on Sparta Pike by my parents Jessie (Casey) & Ruby Jones along with my brother Gary. I was blessed to have a wonderful childhood and throughout the years I have seen many changes throughout our County.

The Sheriff’s Office is an important part of our community, and as your Sheriff I will work diligently to see that you are provided with enhanced service. In order to give you proper law enforcement service, the Sheriff’s office will be operated with integrity and professionalism.

As your Sheriff, from my years of experience & public service, I will strive to improve the quality of life by maintaining order, protecting life & property and reducing the fear of crime. It is my hope as Sheriff that I will earn and maintain your trust, by being personally and professionally accountable to the highest ethical and moral standards.

I will continually use foresight to look for more innovative ways to improve the services of the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office. I pledge to each citizen an open door policy and as your Sheriff I will always be accessible and responsive to your needs.
